Women's Cross Country Races at A-10 Championships

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. – The St. Bonaventure University women's cross country team began the new season at the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championships Friday morning.

Pacing the Bonnies at this year's A-10 Championship meet was newcomer Emily Peterson who crossing the finish line in 20:23.0 in her first collegiate race. Finishing right behind her was senior Samantha Henry, clocking in at 20:32.0, which was 45 seconds faster than her time at last year's conference championship meet.

Junior Lindsey Lytle dropped 50 seconds off her 2019 A-10 Championship time, finishing in 20:33.1. Also cutting time from last year's race was Theresa Dristle who trimmed nine seconds off her time from a year ago, posting a time of 20:35.0.

Juniors Morgan Brady (21:15.9), Amberlee Robertson (21:21.3) and Morgan Evarts (21:40.7) all raced for the Bonnies in the season opener Friday.

Also competing in their first collegiate races were Lauren McGee (21:18.9) and Sophia Machowski (22:14.2).

The Bonnies return to action March 24 when track season begins at the UB Mid-Week Invitational.
