St. Bonaventure's Izydorczak Selected To Represent Atlantic 10 at NCAA Leadership Forum

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University cross country junior Emily Izydorczak has earned selection by Atlantic 10 Conference officials to represent the A-10 at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum this November in Washington, D.C.

The 2017-18 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum takes place Nov. 16-19 and is comprised of two representatives from each conference (one male and one female). Participants are selected based on applicants who are in good academic standing, have provided strong leadership capabilities, are positive influences in their communities, and have eligibility remaining in an NCAA-sponsored sport.

The Leadership Forum, created in 1997, has been a life-changing experience for more than 5,000 student-athletes, many who have grown personally and professionally, gained a new network of peers and friends, as well as felt the rewards and importance of community service.

Izydorczak, an Elementary/Special Education major from Orchard Park, N.Y., has led the Bonnies women's cross country team in every event she has competed in during the past two seasons, earning her first collegiate victory Sept. 23 at the Anderson Invitational in Rochester. She ranks third all-time on Bona's individual 5K times list.
