GENESEO, N.Y. – The first event for the reborn St. Bonaventure outdoor track teams had to wait a day due to cold and rainy conditions, but the Bonnies turned in a day to remember on Sunday as the new programs saw their first action.
A fifth-place finish in the women's 5000 meters by Emily Izydorczak highlighted the day's competition for the Bonnies. The sophomore completed the event in a time of 18:42.05.
Sophomore Rachel Guyer clocked in at 5:02.90 to finish 17th in a field of over 70 runners in the 1500 meters.
On the men's side, freshman William Delaney finished 15th in field of 44 runners with his time of 16:23.49 to headline St. Bonaventure's competition.
The Bonnies are back in action next Saturday in Rochester for the Roc City Invite.
