Bonnies Down Daemen, 7-0

OLEAN, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team won all nine matches en route to a 7-0 win over Daemen Sunday afternoon at the SBU Fitness Center.

The Bonnies started the started the day by sweeping all three doubles matches to grab a 1-0 lead in the team scoring.

The freshman duo of Penelope Abreu and Andrea Roque cruised to a 6-0 win against Christina Statsiuk and MacKenzie Robbins at the No. 1 flight.

Kahlei Reisinger and Emily Stanley teamed up for a win at No. 2 against Courtney Otis and Sarah Kenny, 6-2. The team of Buse Gunay and Paula Velilla completed the sweep of doubles with a 6-0 victory over Alliya Foster and Andrea D'Sa.

In singles action, Abreu won in straight sets at No. 1 against Stasiuk, 6-1, 6-2. At. No. 2, Reisinger was victorious over Robins, 6-2, 6-4.

Roque, Gunay, Stanley and Velilla would all win their singles matches, 6-0, 6-0, to complete the 7-0 shutout against Daemen.

The Bonnies are back in action Friday, March 15 at home against St. Francis (Pa.). That match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
