ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team earned the doubles point but ultimately fell to Saint Francis (Pa.), 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the St. Bonaventure Fitness Center.
With the win, Martinez-Santori and Bowe have won two straight as a pair and five total so far this spring.
St. Bonaventure received another point by default in No. 6 singles to serve as the second and final St. Bonaventure point of the afternoon.
Martinez-Santori gave her No. 1 singles opponent a tough match as she forced three sets.
Kahlei Reisinger also forced three sets, nearly claiming the victory in set three but falling, 10-6, in the No. 5 spot.
Up next, the Bonnies will take on UW Milwaukee at Akron on Friday, and then return home to face Atlantic 10 rival Dayton on Saturday.
