Women's Tennis Returns Home on Wednesday vs Wright State

STORYLINE
The St. Bonaventure men's and women's tennis teams will look to get back into the win column as they welcome Wright State to the St. Bonaventure Fitness Center on Wednesday. The women's tennis team is on a two game drought after dropping tough matches to Army West Point and Fordham. The men's tennis team will look to regroup after dropping two weekend metches to Binghamton and Cleveland State.

SCHEDULE CHANGE
The women's tennis match against Wright State on Wednesday will start at 6:00 p.m. following the men's tennis match which is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.

ABOUT WRIGHT STATE

  • The women's tennis team comes into Wednesday with a 5-7 record after dropping contests to Toledo and Bradley in their last two matches.
  • The Raiders picked up wins against Butler, Dayton and Saint Francis.
  • Lindsey Verstrepen leads the way at No. 2 singles with a 7-5 record. In No. 1 doubles, the pair of Taylor Culbertson and Tori Turner are 8-3.
  • The men's tennis team comes into Wednesday with a 1-8 record after dropping their last two contests with Dayton and Northern Illinois. Their lone win came against South Dakota State.
  • Javier Alvarez leads the team with three wins in at No. 1 singles. In doubles, the pair of Jacob Perkins and Fernando Nardelli lead the team with two doubles wins.

BONNIES NEWS AND NOTES

  • The women's team is led by Dominique Mortier who has six wins on the seasons with four of her wins coming at No. 4 singles.  
  • Kahlei Reisinger has five singles wins while Gabriella Bowe, Lauren Doversola, Clara Herberts and Mara Martinez-Santori all have four singles wins.
  • The pair of Herberts and Reisinger lead the Brown and White with four doubles wins at No. 2 doubles.
  • The men's tennis team is led by Indra Patwardhan who is 6-2 at No. 4 singles on the year and 8-8 overall. Indra was named Atlantic 10 Rookies of the Week Jan. 31.
  • Hector Martinez is second on the team with seven wins with a 5-5 record at No. 2 singles.
  • Lukas Linden Malmberg has earned six wins and Victor Blanco has posted five wins in singles action.
  • In doubles, the pair of Blanco and Patwardhan have a 3-1 record in No. 1 doubles to lead the Bonnies.
  • Martinez and Guillermo Garcia have a 3-3 record in No. 2 doubles.
