Rising senior St. Bonaventure University tennis player Mara Martinez-Santori has earned distinction as an ITA Scholar Athlete, officials announced. The Psychology major earned the accolades by recording a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the 2015-16 academic year.
Six St. Bonaventure University athletic programs have earned recognition from the NCAA by ranking in the top 10 percent of their respective sports in Academic Progress Rate (APR) scores, officials announced Wednesday. The Bonnies teams honored for the 2014-15 academic year were: women’s basketball, men’s cross country, golf, women’s soccer, women’s tennis and softball.
Just as its men's counterparts did earlier in the day, St. Bonaventure's women's tennis team beat Atlantic 10 Conference rival La Salle University 7-0 on Saturday at the St. Bonaventure Fitness Center.
The St. Bonaventure women’s tennis team defeated the Mercyhurst Lakers by a score of 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the St. Bonaventure Tennis Center. The Lakers entered the day ranked third in the Division 2 Atlantic Region and 44th in the nation.
St. Bonaventure head coach Michael Bates announced the signing of Kahlei Reisinger to the women's tennis program. Reisinger has signed her national letter of intent and will join the team in the fall of 2016.
