QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's and women's tennis teams competed over the weekend at the ITA Northeast Regional at the USTA National Center.

On the men's side, Eduardo Irizarry and Andrew Blair would compete for the Bonnies. Irizarry earned a singles main draw, while the duo would pair up for a doubles match.

Irizarry's first round draw would be against Daniel Faireman of Yale. After a close first set that finished in favor of Yale, 7-5, Faireman pulled away for the 6-3 victory in the second set.

In doubles play, Irizzary and Blair defeated Ignat and Pham of Columbia by a score of 8-7. The duo saved five match points to pull out the close win. The pair would drop the next round to Lampman and Van Veltzer of Army, 8-4.

Mara Martinez-Santori, Fatya Amiri and Dominique Mortier of the St. Bonaventure women's tennis team all suffered losses at the event. Martinez-Santori dropped in the qualifying singles against Ognjenovic of Albany, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2. Amiri faced off against Woosley, who is a familiar face as Woosley is from UMass. Woosley went on to defeat Amiri, 6-1, 7-6. The pair of Martinez-Santori and Mortier would go on to lose to Dassa and Raynor of Quinnipiac, 8-3.
