Kimmel Wins “B” Final To Pace Bonnies On Day Two Of A-10 Championships

GENEVA, Ohio – Rachel Kimmel won the "B" final of the 200-IM to lead the St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team on day two of the Atlantic 10 Championships Thursday afternoon at the SPIRE Institute.

The Bonnies sit in ninth after day two with 64 points. Davidson leads the Championship meet with 184 points, narrowly ahead of Richmond which has 182.5 points. Duquesne rounds out the top three with 125.5 total points.

Kimmel touched the wall first in the consolation final with a time of 2:03.86, finishing just ahead of teammate Katrina Wardner who placed 10th with a time of 2:03.98.

Paige Kasemsuwannakaeth, Hayley Tasselmyer, Allison Lenda and Ivana Janssen teamed up for a ninth-place finish in the 200-freestyle relay, clocking in at 1:36.58.

The Bonnies are back in action Friday morning with preliminaries beginning at 8:30 a.m. The diving team will continue action at George Mason Friday afternoon with the 1-meter diving competition.
