Women's Swimming and Diving Visits Niagara For Final Dual Meet Of 2019-20 Season

Friday, Jan. 31 – Dive 11:00 a.m./Swim 1:30 p.m.
Niagara University – Lewiston, N.Y.

The St. Bonaventure University men's swimming and diving team heads to Lewiston, N.Y Friday afternoon for a dual meet with Niagara University. Diving will kick off the meet at 11:00 a.m. and swimming begins at 1:30 p.m.

The Bonnies last competed Jan. 20 at the Reilly Center Pool, defeating Binghamton 188-112. The Bonnies won 15 out of 16 events en route to victory. Katrina Wardner won three events to lead the way for the Brown and White. Wardner was victorious in the 400-IM, 100-freestyle and 200-freestyle. Also winning multiple events for the Bonnies were Elena Rohr, Claire Schaef, Rachel Kimmel, Zanre Oberholzer and Mia Cote.

Niagara swimming and diving come into Friday's contest with a current record of 0-7. Coming off their last meet the Purple eagles fell to Canisius where Hannah Chartlon earned wins in both the 100 and 200-butterfly with times of 2:12.80 and 59.18, respectively. Also winning for Niagara were Avery Sanquist in the 1650-freestyle with a 18:19.46 and Sydney Sarkis with the win in the 1-meter dive with a score of 237.12.

The Bonnies are off until the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 19-22. The A-10 Championships will be held at the Spire Academy in Geneva, Ohio.
