ST. BONAVENTURE at ZIPPY INVITATIONAL
Friday, Dec. 6 – Sunday, Dec. 8
The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team travels to Akron for the Zippy Invite this weekend starting Friday, Dec. 6 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 8. Friday and Saturday's action is set to start at 9 a.m. while Sunday's is yet to be determined.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies are coming off a 162.5-80.5 win over Canisius in which they took 12 of the 13 total events. Katrina Wardner won the 200-freestyle clocking in at 1:57.39 as well as the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:09.96. Rachel Kimmel also won multiple events for the Bonnies coming in at 2:10.14 in the 200-IM and 1:04.71 in the 100-breaststroke. Claire Schaef, Elena Rohr, Mia Cote, Ivana Janssen and Zanre Oberholzer also picked up wins for St. Bonaventure.
LAST YEAR'S INVITE
The Bonnies finished eighth at last year's invite. Mia Cote lead the way with a seventh-place finish in the 200-butterfly, touching the pad at 2:02.07.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Bonnies return to the pool after the holidays with a home meet against Binghamton on Jan. 20. Diving is set to start at 11:00 a.m. and swimming at 2:00 p.m. The Bona divers are in action Jan. 10-12 at the UB Diving Invitational.
