Wardner Selected As A-10 Performer Of The Week For Second Time

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure University women's swimming junior Katrina Wardner was selected as the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Wardner scored victories in three events, helping the Bonnies to a trio of wins at the Atlantic 10 Classic in Geneva, Ohio last weekend.

A native of Orchard Park, N.Y., Wardner captured victory in the 200-IM with a time of 2:05.95 and followed that by winning the 400-IM with a time of 4:28.24. She later teamed up with Rachel Kimmel, Zanre Oberholzer and Mia Cote to win the 400-medley relay, ringing in at 3:52.63.

Wardner also earned a second-place finish in the 100-freestyle with a time of 53.16.

Wardner has earned two A-10 Performer of the Week awards this season. She won the award on Oct. 15 as well.

The Bonnies are back in action Friday, Nov. 9 on the road at Cornell.
