Bonnies Travel To Little Three Rival Canisius Saturday

The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team travels to Canisius Saturday afternoon for a dual meet. The meet is set to start at 3:00 p.m. at Erie Community College.

The Bonnies last competed at the Atlantic 10 Classic in Geneva, Ohio on Oct. 20. Bona defeated La Salle in the dual meet format, 206-144. The Bonnies, however, were taken down by Saint Louis, Duquesne and George Mason. Senior Brittany Hart and freshman Rachel Kimmel were both individual winners for the Brown and White. The Bonnies took on Colgate in the meet before the Atlantic 10 Classic and were victorious, 165.5-77.5. Bona swept all 13 events of the meet.

The Golden Griffs enter Saturday's meet with a pair of dual meet wins against Marist and Rochester. Canisius defeated Marist, 172-126 and took down Rochester, 140-103. The women's swimming and diving team was picked to finish fourth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason rankings. Rebecca Anthone has won at least three events in the first four meets this season for Canisius.

The St. Bonaventure women's diving team will compete next at the Navy Diving Invitational Nov. 15-17. The Bonnies women's swimming team returns to the pool Nov. 30-Dec. 2 at the Zippy Invite at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
