GENEVA, Ohio – Senior diver Brittany Hart and freshman Rachel Kimmel scored individual wins to lead the St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team at the Atlantic 10 Classic held at the SPIRE Institute over the weekend.
Competing in a dual meet format against La Salle, Duquesne, George Mason and Saint Louis, the Bonnies defeated La Salle, 206-144. Bona, however, fell to Saint Louis (189-163), George Mason (181-164) and Duquesne (208-144).
Hart was the winner of the 3-meter dive, posting a total score of 248.70. Anna Campos (234.80) and Elena Rohr (227.80) finished third and fourth respectively on the 3-meter board, scoring for the Bonnies.
In a repeat performance from last Saturday's meet against Colgate, Kimmel took home both breaststroke events this week. She finished in 1:04.28 in the 100-breaststroke and clocked in at 2:20.66 in the 200-breaststroke.
Sophomore Mia Cote added a pair of third place finishes for the Bonnies. She touched the wall in 58.32 in the 100-butterfly and in the 200-buttefly, she seized third with a time of 2:09.77.
The Bonnies are off until Saturday, Nov. 10 on the road vs. Canisius when the Little Three rivals compete at Erie Community College with action slated to begin at 3 p.m.
