Bonnies Travel To Spire Institute for Atlantic 10 Classic

Saturday, Oct. 27 – 11:00 a.m.
Sunday, Oct. 28 – 9:00 a.m.
Spire Institute – Geneva, Ohio

The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team travels to the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Classic. The meet begins on Saturday, featuring two separate sessions. The first session begins at 11:00 a.m. and the second starts at 6:00 p.m. The conclusion of the meet is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

The Bonnies swept all 13 events en route to a 167.5-77.5 win over Colgate on Oct. 20 at the Reilly Center Pool. Freshman Claire Schaef continued her strong start and helped pace the Bonnies by winning the 1000-freestyle, 200-butterfly and the 500-freestyle.

Katrina Wardner, Ivana Janssen, Brittany Hart, Tayler Gnan and Rachel Kimmel were all individual winners against Colgate. Wardner, Janssen and Hart were each the winners of two events. Wardner took first in the 200-freestyle and 200-IM while Janssen won the 50-freestyle and the 100-freestyle. Hart was able to sweep both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions.

The Bonnies are off until Saturday, Nov. 10 on the road at Canisius. The meet will take place at Erie Community College and is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
