Women's Swimming and Diving Again Honored For Academic Success

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team capped an impressive season by earning Scholar All-America Team recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), officials have announced.

The awards are in recognition of teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2018 spring semester. St. Bonaventure easily cleared that bar, registering a cumulative team GPA of 3.41 this spring.

A total of 19 Bonnies were named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll earlier this month for their success in the classroom during the past academic year.

The most recent honor continues the trend of academic excellence for head coach Brian Thomas' program which ranked in the top 15 of the nation in terms of team GPA a year ago.

In the pool, the Bonnies made great strides this season as well by finishing fifth at the Atlantic 10 Championships. It marked the highest finish at the conference championship meet for the program since 2011. The Bonnies set two pool records and 16 program records during the year along with capturing 10 meet victories.
