The Bonnies last swam at the Atlantic 10 Classic at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio Oct. 28-29. They defeated three conference opponents while only falling to Duquesne, 208-163. St. Bona defeated La Salle, 245-121, and outswam George Mason, 194-177. They were also victorious against Saint Louis, winning by a score of 195-175.

Canisius has started the season with a 2-2 record with its last victory coming Oct. 28 against SUNY Geneseo, by a score of 127-116. Senior Rebecca Anthone won the 50, 200 and 500-freestyle events in the Golden Griffs meet against Marist.

Freshman Lina Kutsko has been nothing short of outstanding for the Bonnies this season. She has won all 22 individual and relay events she has competed in, and has also broken three St. Bonaventure program records and two pool records at UConn and Colgate University. She broke the program record in the 100 butterfly in her first collegiate meet at Colgate on Oct. 7, and shattered the same record at UConn on Oct. 20 with a time of 54.86. At the Atlantic 10 Classic, she set the 50-freestyle record by swimming a time of 23.58, breaking the previous mark of 23.59 that stood since 2003.

Senior Devon McFadden has shown her leadership in the first part of the Bonnies schedule. Consistently swimming to podium positions, she continues to be a strong asset for the Bonnies. At the Atlantic 10 Classic, McFadden won the 100-IM, ringing in a time of 59.38 and jumped directly back in the pool and finished second in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:06.26. Her performance, not only in those two events but as a whole helped the Bonnies to three victories.

Head coach Brian Thomas and his team return home after four straight events on the road. The Bonnies' schedule features only three home meets this season. In addition to Saturday, the Bonnies are home Jan. 12 against Buffalo and Jan. 13 vs. Binghamton.

The Bonnies get a break from competition before they travel to Akron University for the annual Zippy Invitational Dec. 1-3.
