Rohr Moves on to 1-Meter Diving Finals for @BonniesWSwim in Day 1 at Atlantic 10 Championships

GENEVA, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team finished the first day of action at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships with 53 points in seventh place.

Wednesday's itinerary included three events: 1-meter diving, the 200-medley relay and the 800-freestyle relay.

Freshman Elena Rohr earned a spot in the 1-meter finals while sophomore Brittany Hart competed in the consolation finals. Rohr scored 228.60 in the finals, which was good for eighth place, to earn St. Bonaventure 11 points. Hart scored 220.80 in the consolation for 11th place for six more Bona points.

In the 200-medey relay, the team of Theresa Hutton, Alyssa Levac, Devon McFadden and Samantha Kuchinski finished ninth at 1:44.05, over two seconds faster than their seed time of 1:46.10.

In the day's final event, the 800-freestyle relay team of Bridget Jordan, Rachel Taylor, Maggie Woods and Theresa Hutton swam a 7:32.52 in the event, besting their seed time by nearly 12 seconds.

The meet resumes with session three at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The full day of events includes both the prelims and finals for the 500-freestyle, 200-IM and 50-freestyle along with the 200-freestyle relay.
