AKRON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team finished sixth in the three-day Akron Zippy Invite with 616 points.
Alyssa Levac highlighted the Bonnies' performances with a fourth-place finish in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:17.06, which broke the St. Bonaventure all-time record in the event.
Maria Rocchi followed close behind in the event at 2:21.41. In the morning's preminimaries, Rocchi earned her new personal best with a time of 2:19.0
Devon McFadden was the lone Bonnie to swim in the 200-backstroke and finished at 2:03.32, which was good for an 11th place finish.
This event at Akron served as the lone swimming action of December for the Bonnies. The next time St. Bonaventure will compete will be Jan. 14 at Binghamton.
