AKRON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team remained in sixth place after the second day of action at the Akron Zippy Invite with 462 points.
Alyssa Levac and Maria Rocchi highlighted the Bonnies' performance as they both finished in the top 10 in the 100-breaststroke. Levac finished fourth at 1:03.76 while Rocchi finished sixth at 1:04.17.
Devon McFadden gave the Bonnies a strong performance in the 100-backstroke with a 10th place finish at 56.13 and also finished 13th in the 400-IM at 4:27.59.
The Brown and White saw a good showing in the 800-freestyle relay as the team of Bridget Jordan, McFadden, Theresa Hutton and Rachel Taylor finished 10th at 7:45.39 while Tayler Gnan, Emily Quinn, Michaela Ryan and Samantha Kuchinski came in 12th at 7:55.11.
The Bonnies will complete the invitational on Sunday with the finals beginning at 4:00 p.m.
