GENEVA, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team wrapped up action at the A-10 Quad Meet this weekend at the Spire Institute.
Overall in the two-day meet, the Bonnies earned a 238-133 win over La Salle and a 204-161 win against Saint Louis. Duquesne swept their competition, outscoring the Bonnies 241-124.
"I think our swimmers and divers learned a great deal about the importance of our meet-day preparation and how it will impact us in February at the Atlantic 10 Championships," said head coach Brian Thomas. "After making some good adjustments during the meet, our final two sessions were phenomenal. It was good to get a couple of wins against conference opponents, two teams that beat us head-to-head last year."
Sunday's session was highlighted by a sweep on the diving board as the Bonnies took the top three spots in the 1-meter dive. Izzy Aguilera finished first with Elena Rohr second and Brittany Hart third.
Devon McFadden claimed a win in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:05.78.
"We'll get back to work," Thomas said. "November should be an awesome month of prep leading into the Akron invite."
Before heading to Akron on Dec. 2, the Brown and White will take on Canisius at Erie Community College on Nov. 13.
