The St. Bonaventure University softball team travels to take on Fordham in a non-conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon in the Bronx. First pitch for game one Saturday is slated for 12:00 p.m. and both games can be seen on ESPN+.

The Bonnies are coming off a close four-game series loss to George Mason at Joyce Field last weekend. The Brown and White dropped three out of the four games by just one run, including a nine-inning heartbreaker last Saturday.

Freshman infielder Grace Walker earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors Tuesday afternoon after posting a .714/.833/1.143 slash line in the four games against George Mason.

During game one of Friday's doubleheader, the freshman infielder entered in the bottom of the seventh as a pinch hitter with the bases loaded and belted a bases-clearing double. Walker followed that performance by working three walks in game two Friday afternoon.

Walker's weekend continued Saturday when she went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in game one and was 1-for-2 with another double in game two while also earning a pair of walks.

On the year, Walker is batting .571 in seven games played. Walker also leads the Bonnies with four doubles.

Fordham enters the weekend with an overall record of 21-3 and are a perfect 8-0 in Atlantic 10 play. The Rams are coming off a 5-2 victory over Stony Brook Thursday and are winners of their last 18 games. Fordham has earned A-10 sweeps of UMass and La Salle so far this season.

Michaela Carter leads the Rams with a .444 batting average in 63 at-bats. Also hitting above .400 are Bella Ayala (.434) and Brianna Pinto (.418).

In the circle, Fordham carries three pitchers with ERAs under two. Devon Miller, who is the reigning Atlantic 10 and National Pitcher of the Week after tossing two perfect games against La Salle last weekend, leads the Rams with a 1.60 ERA. Just behind Miller is Anna Marie Prentis with a 1.67 ERA and Madie Aughinbaugh who carries a 1.81 ERA.

The Bonnies remain on the road as they head west to Saint Louis for a four-game series April 17 and 18.
