Bonnies Travel to George Mason for Weekend Series

The St. Bonaventure University softball team will travel to Fairfax for a three-game conference series against George Mason. The teams will compete in a Saturday doubleheader and one game on Sunday, beginning at noon.

The last meeting between St. Bonaventure and George Mason was in the 2018 season at Joyce Field when the Patriots completed a three-game sweep over the Bonnies. Alexandra Deal went 5-for-11 and McKenna Holtz had a home run, in the series

McKenna Holtz and Alexandra Deal are currently in a four-way tie for third in the Atlantic 10 in stolen bases. Holtz and Deal have both gone 15-for-16 on stolen base attempts.

George Mason is currently 19-24 on the season and 7-10 in the Atlantic 10. Andriana Erickson leads the Patriots at the plate with a batting average of .290 and has 36 hits on the season along with 23 RBIs. In the circle, Bekah Ansbro has been dominant for George Mason with an ERA of 2.37 and 93 strikeouts in 100.1 innings of work. Ansbro ranks second in the A-10 in ERA and fourth in the A-10 in strikeouts. George Mason is currently ranked seventh in the A-10 standings.

The Bonnies return to Joyce Field next Thursday for a mid-week non-conference doubleheader against Niagara. Thursday's games are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
