Bonnies to Host Buffalo in Mid-Week Game

The St. Bonaventure University softball team will meet Buffalo for a mid-week non-conference single game. First pitch for the is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. – please note that the game has been moved up one hour from the originally announced start time of 4:00 p.m.

This will be the first time since 2013 that the Bonnies will face off against the Bulls. The doubleheader that was scheduled for 2018 was canceled after inclement weather pushed the game to Amherst, N.Y. In the 2013 series, the Bonnies split with a 4-3 in game one and a 3-2 loss in game two.

McKenna Holtz and Alexandra Deal are currently in a four-way tie for third in the Atlantic 10 in stolen bases. Holtz and Deal have both gone 15-for-16 on stolen base attempts.

Buffalo is currently 9-29-1 on the season and 6-7-1 in the Mid-American Conference. Anna Aguon leads the Bulls at the plate with a batting average of .392 and has 49 hits on the season, while Jenelle Martinez paces Buffalo in RBIs with 19 on the year. In the circle, Ally Power has held much of the work load for the Bulls with an ERA of 5.56 and 81 strikeouts in 131.0 innings of work. UB is currently ranked eighth in the MAC standings.

The Bonnies travel to Fairfax, Va. Saturday for a weekend series against the George Mason. Saturday's Atlantic 10 doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. The third and final game is slated for Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
