The St. Bonaventure University softball team will host Fordham at Joyce Field for a mid-week Atlantic 10 doubleheader. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
St. Bonaventure and Fordham met last season in the Bronx, where the Rams swept the Bonnies in a doubleheader. Bona fell in game one, 8-0, in six innings and lost the second game, 4-1.
Freshman Abigail Stone went 3-for-4 in the most recent contest against Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon. All three of her at bats resulted in doubles, including two RBIs. Stone is now tied with Brooke Kane-Walker for the team lead in doubles with five.
ATLANTIC 10 LEADERS
McKenna Holtz and Alexandra Deal are among the Atlantic 10 leaders in stolen bases. They are currently tied for fourth in the conference, both going 12-for-13 on stolen base attempts.
Fordham is currently 13-20 on the season and 6-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Maria Trivelpiece leads the Rams' offense with a .362 batting average and 38 hits. Molly Roark and Rachel Hubertus rank second and third in the A-10 in home runs with 10 and eight, respectively. Madie Aughinbaugh has been dominant for the Rams in the circle with a 3.06 ERA and fourth in the A-10 in strikeouts (74) and earned the A-10 Pitcher of the Week. Fordham was picked to tie second in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
The Bonnies head to Rhode Island Saturday, April 13 for a three-game weekend A-10 series. Saturday's doubleheader is slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. The third and final game is scheduled for Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
