A combination of impressive pitching by junior Rylee Hehir and power hitting by the Bonnies gave St. Bonaventure the advantage.

The six-run fourth inning allowed Bonas to take full control of the game. With runners on second and third, Brooke Kane-Walker, who went 2-for-3 in game one, hit a three-run homer into left center. Kaitlin Caringi added two more runs in the inning with a single to bring Madison Stewart and Elizabeth Enovitch across the plate.

The Bonnies took the 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Kane-Walker doubled down the left-field line to bring Deal across the plate. With Kane-Walker in scoring position, Perechinsky blasted her second home run in two games to give the Bonnies the 3-0 lead.

Hehir (5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 9K) led St. Bonaventure to victory with her work in the circle. She started the game with six straight strikeouts and finished the game with nine. The junior allowed only two hits in her five innings of work.

Alexandra Piergustavo, McKenna Holtz, Alexandra Deal, Olivia Golay, Mikayla Short and Tierney Fitzgerald all had hits in the win.

A four-run third inning sealed the deal for the Robert Morris in the nightcap. McCartney lead off the inning with a double into left-center. With the bases loaded for the Colonials, Seibert flew out to centerfield to advance all the runners. Bell singled to shortstop to push the lead to 8-0.

The Bonnies were held without a run until the bottom of the fourth when Perechinsky's sac fly to left field brought in Kane-Walker. Alexandra Deal then was brought a second run in for the Bonnies after she tripled into left in the bottom of the sixth.

Ally Haskell got the start for Bona in game two and threw 2.1 innings before being replaced by Alyssa Yungwirth. Yungwirth did not allow a run and had three strikeouts in her 4.2 innings of work.

Kane-Walker, Stone and Stewart all had hits for the Bonnies in game two.

The Bonnies return to Joyce Field Saturday for a doubleheader against Saint Joseph's. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
