The St. Bonaventure University softball team hosts Rhode Island for a three-game weekend Atlantic 10 series at Joyce Field. Rhode Island enters this weekend's series with a record of 12-30 and 3-12 in the Atlantic 10. The Rams ended a five-game skid with a 2-1 victory over Bryant on Thursday. Kylie Shivery leads Rhode Island with a .303 batting average is second on the team with two home runs. Becca Rogers has made 18 starts in the circle and touts a 2.83 ERA. Rogers also leads the team with eight complete games.

In between games on Saturday afternoon Bona will honor its three seniors Morgan Phillips, Josie Borysevicz and Hailey Blencowe. Phillips is a four-year member of the softball program and has played in 111 career games for the Bonnies. As a junior she played in 41 games, starting in 40 and had nine doubles. Josie is a four-year member of the softball team and ranks tied-fifth in wins in program history. As a freshman, she won a career-high 11 games and pitched 13 complete games with a 3.94 ERA. As a senior, Hailey has career-highs in doubles, RBIs, walks and on-base percentage. She hit a career-high four home runs in 33 games played as a sophomore.

The Bonnies close the 2018 regular season on the road for a three-game set at Saint Joseph's on May 5-6. On Saturday, the Bonnies and the Hawks will play a doubleheader with game one starting at 12:00 p.m. The series finale on Sunday is slated for a 12:00 p.m. first pitch.
