Abby Pearson is in her fourth season with the St. Bonaventure women's soccer program, joining the staff in July 2017.
Pearson comes to St. Bonaventure after having coached on the club circuit for Beavercreek Celtics. She coached teams into the top 3 in the state and top 50 in the nation. While in Ohio she also managed for Coerver Coaching Ohio where she trained coaches, developed sessions and ran performance academies for the Dayton area.
Pearson also brings over 25 years of playing experience, most recently coming off the semi-professional circuit in the WPSL having played for the Cincinnati Sirens the past 4 years and prior to that having played for the Dayton Dutch Lions in the W-League where they won the conference title in 2013. Pearson played as a defender for a majority of her career, but lead her collegiate team in the center of the park during her 4 years at Urbana University. During her time there she made it into the record books for assists, single season assists, goals, game-winning goals and game-winning assists. Besides earning the All-Conference player of the week award on multiple occasions, she also earned GMAC All-Conference 1st team, All Ohio 1st team and was the first female athlete in school history to earn NCAA All-Midwest Regional honors. Offensive MVP of her team, she led the Blue Knights in goals, assists and points. She also led the conference in assists, 2nd in points, 5th in goals and finished her senior season ranked top 20 in the nation for assists.
She graduated from Urbana University in 2012 with an undergraduate degree in English and Communications and attained her MBA from St. Bonaventure in 2019.
