The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team completes the regular season portion of its abbreviated spring schedule with a pair games against Duquesne at Marra Athletics Complex on Thursday, April 8 and Sunday, April 11. Both matches will air on ESPN+.
Duquesne enters the weekend with an overall record of 1-5-1 and is 1-4-1 in Atlantic 10 play. The Dukes fell to No. 20 Saint Louis in their last two games, as the Billikens scored four times in the first half to defeat Duquesne, 5-0, on Sunday afternoon at Rooney Field.
Deena DeBaldo leads the Dukes in shots (22) and shots on goal (12). Lexy Kendro is second in both categories with 13 and six. DeBaldo's 3.0 shots per game and 1.78 shots on goal per game both rank fifth in the A-10.
In net, Megan Virgin, who started all 17 games for Duquesne last season, ranks fourth in the A-10 with 4.11 saves per game.
On March 18, the St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team fell to Duquesne, 1-0, during their first meeting on the road. Deena DeBaldo scored in the second minute as Duquesne held on for a 1-0 win over the Bonnies on March 18 on Rooney Field.
The Dukes looked to add a second goal in the 19th minute but Bona goalkeeper Mackenzie Nolan made a pair of saves to keep the deficit at one. Nolan recorded double-digit saves for the second consecutive game, stopping 10 Duquesne shots.
Duquesne leads the series 15-9-0, with the Bonnies holding a 6-4-0 lead in matches at Marra Athletics Complex.
The Bonnies won four of the past five matchups against the Dukes at home.
ACHLADIS GETS ON THE BOARD
