DAYTON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team fell to Dayton, 2-0, Sunday afternoon on the road, thanks to a pair of successful penalty kick conversions.
It was a back and forth game for most of the first half.
Dayton (7-3-1, 4-1-1 A-10) finally broke through just before halftime after being awarded a penalty kick. Lexy Kidd slotted it home, giving the Flyers a 1-0 lead.
The Flyers added an insurance goal in the 67th minute when they punched home another penalty kick, putting the game out of reach.
Mackenzie Nolan made nine saves in net for the Bonnies (0-6-0, 0-6-0 A-10).
The Bonnies finish the regular season with a pair of contests against Duquesne at the Marra Athletics Complex April 8 and 11.
