ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team fell to Dayton, 3-0, Sunday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Complex.
The Bonnies (0-3, 0-3 A-10) were held in check by the Dayton defense, getting just four shots away in the contest.
Dayton (4-3, 1-1-1) jumped out to the early lead just three minutes into the contest when Itala Gemelli found the back of the net for the game's first goal.
The Flyers added a second tally in the 36th minute after Marlee Taylor was played in by Mia Perri and Taylor finished the play, giving Dayton a 2-0 lead just before halftime.
The visitors got another insurance goal when a defensive miscue led to a St. Bonaventure own goal.
Mackenzie Nolan got the start in net for the Bonnies, making seven saves on the afternoon.
The Bonnies are back in action Sunday, March 28 at the Marra Athletics Complex against Saint Louis. That game is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
