PITTSBURGH – The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team fell to Duquesne, 1-0, Thursday afternoon on the road.
Duquesne wasted no time starting the scoring Thursday afternoon when Deena DeBaldo found the back of the net in second minute.
The Dukes looked to add a second goal in the 19th minute but Bona goalkeeper Mackenzie Nolan, the reigning Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, made a pair of saves to keep the deficit at one.
The score remained 1-0 in favor of Duquesne as the team's headed to halftime.
The Bonnies looked to even the score in the 68th minute when Kacie Filian and Kenzie Tarmino each had a shot on net. Filian's shot was saved and Tarmino's sailed high, keeping the contest 1-0 in favor of the Dukes.
Nolan recorded double-digit saves for the second consecutive game, stopping 10 Duquesne shots.
