Complete United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – St. Bonaventure University women's soccer senior Sabrina Sousa-Sampson has earned a selection to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-East Region Third Team following a standout season and career for the Bonnies.

The Toronto, Ontario native was recognized along with 44 other players in the All-East Region from 19 different states and four different countries. It is the first time since 2012 that a Bonnie has been honored by the United Soccer Coaches, and Sousa-Sampson is just the fourth player in program history to receive the award.

Sousa-Sampson started in all 18 games this season and led the team with 1,615 minutes of action, playing full time in 14 matches. The team captain helped lead a Bonnies defense that only gave up four goals in eight home games. As a freshman, Sousa-Sampson earned a spot on the A-10 All-Rookie Team. She started in 73 out of 74 games in her career, playing at least 1,600 minutes each season, finishing with five goals with four assists. Sousa-Sampson also earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team this year.

"This is a great achievement for Sabrina and our program, and we are proud of everything that she has accomplished these past four years," St. Bonaventure head coach Steve Brdarski said. "Sabrina led our team on and off the field this fall, constantly trying to help the team in any way that she could and bringing energy and intensity to every game. We are ecstatic she can represent our program with such a great honor."

The teams were selected through voting by NCAA Division I women's member coaches.
