Eight Home Games Highlight 2019 Women's Soccer Schedule

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Eight home games highlight the 2019 St. Bonaventure women's soccer schedule.

The first official event of the academic year for any Bonnies team comes when the Brown and White continues its long-running series with Binghamton of the America East Conference on the road Thursday, Aug. 22. This will mark the fifth straight year the Bonnies and Bearcats have opened the season and sixth straight meeting overall – last year the teams fought to a dramatic 3-3 tie. St. Bonaventure then turns around and heads west to play at Youngstown State of the Horizon League to play Sunday, Aug. 25 as opening weekend concludes.

A Big 4 meeting vs. Mid-American Conference rival Buffalo opens the home schedule under the lights Friday, Aug. 30. The Bonnies will also host Valparaiso of the Missouri Valley Conference in another Friday night contest on Sept. 6 as well as Division I newcomer Merrimack on Sunday, Sept. 15 in a special 11 a.m. start.

Also in the non-conference action, the Bonnies will travel to play Ivy League foe Cornell (Sept. 8) as well as Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference members Iona (Sept. 2) and rival Canisius (Sept. 12).

Atlantic 10 play opens with a road trip to Fordham on Sunday, Sept. 22 with Saint Joseph's opening the A-10 home slate under the lights Thursday, Sept. 26. Bona will also play host to Dayton (Oct. 3), Richmond (Oct. 13), Rhode Island (Oct. 17) and George Mason (Oct. 27).

In A-10 road action the Bonnies will also make trips to Davidson (Sept. 29), Saint Louis (Oct. 6), George Washington (Oct. 20) and Duquesne (Oct. 24).

The Bonnies return 20 players from last year's squad and will be in their seventh season under the leadership of head coach Steve Brdarski.
