The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team has a pair of home matches this weekend, hosting Youngstown State on Friday and Little Three rival Canisius on Sunday.

It was an overtime- filled weekend for the Bonnies who fell 2-1 to Cornell in the 100th minute at home on Friday, and played to a 3-3 draw on the road against UMass Lowell on Sunday.

Currently 0-2-2, St. Bonaventure is still in search of their first win of the season.

SIZZLING CERZA
After an impressive two-goal opening weekend, junior forward Sydney Cerza kept the scoring going with an assist in Sunday's 3-3 draw. She leads all Bonnies with six total points, and is currently tied for second in the A-10 in points and assists, and is tied for third in goals

LACOUTURE DAZZLES
Through 51 career games, senior midfielder Gretta LaCouture had never scored a goal – until Sunday. She found the back of the net twice against UMass-Lowell, and is the first Bonnie to score two goals in a game since Danielle Vis against Bryant in 2016.

MALCOLM MOVING UP
With 32 saves through her first four matches, junior goalkeeper Lauren Malcolm is now fourth all-time in St. Bonaventure history with 275 saves. She moved past Christine Carbone '86 who finished with 259, but still sits well behind Margaret Reif '97 in third place with 426.

OVERTIME
It's been an overtime-filled start to the 2018 campaign for the Bonnies. Three of their first four matches have resulted in extra time, and if not for a Kent State goal in the 88th minute that broke a 1-1 tie, it would have been a perfect 4-4.

ABOUT YOUNGSTOWN STATE
The Penguins (1-2-1) and their new head coach Brian Shrum are coming off their first win of the season, a 1-0 victory at home over Canisius on Sunday. After a 4-13-1 finish last year, they were picked ninth of ten teams in the Horizon League preseason poll.

The Bonnies have faced the Penguins in each of the last three seasons, owning a 1-2 record in those games. However, their lone win in 2016 was a dominant 6-0 victory on home turf thanks to five combined goals from current Bonnies Sydney Cerza, Bella May, Marley Jarvis and Jessica Scruggs.

It was the most goals St. Bonaventure had scored in a single game since an 8-0 win over St. Peter's in 2004.

ABOUT CANISIUS
The Golden Griffins (2-1-0) got off to a hot start, toppling St. Francis 3-2 on the road and Robert Morris 1-0 at home, but suffered their first setback of the season at Youngstown State on Sunday.

Though the Bonnies haven't had success over the last three years against Canisius, finishing just 0-2-1, they are 3-2-1 over their last six meetings.
