The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer team makes its first road trip of the regular season, beginning a swing of three straight games against Big 4 rivals with a date at Buffalo on Thursday night.

LAST TIME OUT
St. Bonaventure opened the 2016 campaign last Friday night with a 1-1 draw vs. Binghamton on home turf.

The Bonnies received the first goal of the season from sophomore Marley Jarvis who scored off assists from senior Mirae Whitaker and sophomore Jessica Scruggs.

Freshman Lauren Malcolm made her debut in net, stopping six shots in a strong outing.

ABOUT THE BULLS
UB has won the Mid-American Conference East Division championship the past two years and return seven starters from last season's team including All-MAC selections Julia Benati and Celina Carrero. Buffalo finished the year at 11-7-3 overall last year and were extremely strong at home – the Bulls went 6-1-2 at UB Stadium.

The Bulls are seeking their first victory of the year after dropping a 1-0 decision last Friday to Hofstra before falling to No. 6 West Virginia, 2-0, on Sunday.

SERIES VS. BUFFALO
The Bonnies picked up a 2-0 victory over the Bulls on Sept. 1, 2015 at home, receiving goals from Abby Maiello and Lauren Hill. Beth Moore made seven saves to earn the clean sheet in net. That win snapped a three-game winless streak against their Big 4 rival – UB scored wins of 1-0 and 2-1 the previous two seasons along with a 1-1 deadlock in 2012. Bona's last win at UB Stadium came in a 3-2 decision on Sept. 3, 2011.

UP NEXT
The Bonnies' rivalry swing continues with a pair of home games vs. Western New York foes Canisius (Friday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.) and Niagara (Sunday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m.).
