Women's Lacrosse Announces 2021 Schedule

2021 Bonnies Women's Lacrosse Schedule

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team is slated to play 12 games as part of its 2021 schedule.

This year's schedule is highlighted by six home contests at the Marra Athletics Complex.

The 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference schedule is broken down into two five-team regionally-based divisions. The Bonnies division features Duquesne, Saint Joseph's, UMass and La Salle. The second division this season includes Richmond, George Mason, VCU, George Washington and Davidson.

Teams in each division will play a home-and-home series this year to make up an eight-game conference schedule.

Bona open its non-conference slate on the road Feb. 19 at Colgate, 345 days since its last contest prior to the spring sports shutdown. Prior to the shutdown, the Bonnies were 5-2 in their first season under head coach Jason Levesque.

"We're excited to get the opportunity to compete against other teams again." Levesque said. "It's been close to a year since we've done that and a long one at that for everyone, everywhere in all walks of life to say the least.  The team has been progressing well and working hard the past couple weeks in preparation.  We're fortunate to have some challenging contests to play before Atlantic 10 play starts.  Hopefully we can get things rolling quickly and build on whatever momentum we might be able to take away from last season."

The Bonnies are scheduled to make their 2021 home debut against Youngstown State Feb. 21.

The Brown and White then head back out on the road for a contest against Albany Feb. 25.

After almost a month off, the Bonnies return to the field to take on Akron March 20 at the Marra Athletics Complex.

The Bonnies will get home field advantage for their first two Atlantic 10 conference games. St. Bonaventure welcomes Duquesne March 26 and then Saint Joe's March 28.

Bona will visit the City of Brotherly Love to take on La Salle April 1 before heading back home for a matchup with UMass, No. 19 in the Nike/U.S. Lacrosse Division I Preseason Top-20, April 3.

After the Bonnies' quick stop back home, they head to Pittsburgh to battle Duquesne April 11. The Brown and White make another trip to Philadelphia April 16 for a contest against Saint Joseph's.

St. Bonaventure closes out its 2021 home schedule with an April 18 date with La Salle. The regular season comes to an end with a quick trip to UMass April 23.

Levesque welcomes back 30 players from last year's roster. The Bonnies welcome 10 newcomers to the roster for the 2021 campaign.
