EASTON, Pa. – Rylee Arnold scored twice and fired nine shots as the St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team dropped a 13-5 decision at Lafayette on Saturday afternoon.

Lafayette improves to 3-3 on the season while St. Bonaventure falls to 0-6.

The hosts outshot Bona by a 37-23 margin, but the Bonnies won 12 of 20 draws.

The Leopards got on the board early on a goal from Kristin Schaen just 29 seconds into the game after winning the opening draw.

Arnold tied the game with a goal of her own just over five minutes in for the 1-1 score.

The contest remained tied until Jane Kirby found the net with 17:56 left in the opening half. Hannah Davey came through with another score for the Leopards on a free position shot three minutes later.

The Bonnies again got within one score as the clock ticked under 10 minutes as Ashley Easterday scored off an assist from Gabrielle Bradley.

Before halftime, though, Lafayette scored the final three goals to take a 6-2 advantage to intermission.

The opening minutes of the second half were a defensive struggle with no scoring until the 21:55 mark when Arnold scored again to cut the deficit to 6-3.

Bona continued to rally, cutting within 6-4 with 18:58 remaining.

Lafayette ended the Bonnies run with 18:37 left in the contest, though, as Kirby scored another goal for a 7-4 edge.

With the score at 8-4, Kristine Wallace took advantage of a Leopards penalty to score with the man-up goal and still 13:12 remaining.

Bona still stood at an 8-5 deficit when Lafayette began a strong game-ending run. The Leopards found insurance at 10:20 then scored again with the man-up advantage with 4:36 to play.

Lafayette wrapped up the game with a 5-0 break to put away thoughts of a Bona rally.
