Bonnies to host Temple Sunday at First Arena in Elmira, N.Y.

Jan. 10, 2004

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure will look to break a five-game losing streak today as the Bonnies host Atlantic 10 East leader Temple at the First Arena in Elmira, N.Y. The Owls, who are 2-0 in the Atlantic 10, are coming off wins versus Fordham and at UMass.

This game marks the first time St. Bonaventure has hosted a ''home'' game away from the Reilly Center. The First Arena, home of the Elmira Jackals, seats approximately 3,500 and is host to other sporting events including high school basketball, wrestling and college hockey. The Elmira-Corning area has also hosted past Bonnies' games including lacrosse.

The game is a homecoming of sorts for Bona junior guard Stefanie Collins. Collins, who was a prolific high school player at Odessa-Montour High School, currently ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 19.7 points per game.
