Bonnies Fall In Regular Season Finale At La Salle, 77-51

PHILADELPHIA – Tori Harris' double-double was not enough as the St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team fell to La Salle, 77-51, Sunday afternoon at Tom Gola Arena in the regular season finale.

Bona completes the regular season 6-14 overall and 5-12 in Atlantic 10 play.

Harris registered her fourth double-double of the season with a team-high 19 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. Emily Calabrese also notched double digit rebounds for the Bonnies, hauling in a season-high 10 rebounds.

La Salle used its momentum from the end of the first half and used that to pull away in the third quarter.

The Explorers opened the second half with a 17-2 run after Kayla Spruill made a three just ten seconds into the third.

La Salle's lead grew to as large as 20 points, 53-33, in the third quarter after Spruill's layup with 4:27 to play in the period.

La Salle (11-13, 7-10 A-10) maintained its advantage through the fourth quarter as the lead grew to 23 after a pair of Kate Hill free throws.

Another Explorers score with just over a minute to play solidified the victory for La Salle.

It was a first half of runs Sunday afternoon.

La Salle jumped out to an 18-11 lead after an 8-0 run was capped off by Haleigh Hill three pointer late in the first quarter.

Moments later, Lops' second chance bucket at the first quarter horn kick started a St. Bonaventure 7-0 to tie the game, 18-18.

The Explorers responded with another 8-0 run, including a pair of threes from Claire Jacobs to take a 26-18 edge with just over six minutes remaining in the half.

Harris' layup with 14 second to play in the first half brought the Bonnies (6-14, 5-12 A-10) within two, 31-29.

La Salle's Molly Masciantonio, however, drained a three pointer before the halftime buzzer sounded to give the Explorers a five-point lead headed into the locker room for halftime.

Claire Jacobs finished the contest with a game-high 20 points and was 4-for-4 from beyond the arc.

The Bonnies' next opponent and date is to be announced as they await their first round foe of the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Seeding will be released Sunday evening.
