Johnson Earns Big 4 Player Of The Week Honors

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure junior guard Asianae Johnson has earned Big 4 Player of the Week honors for her efforts last week.

Johnson averaged 16.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in two Atlantic 10 contests for the Bonnies.

In last Friday's matchup against Richmond, Johnson poured in 18 points to go along with six rebounds. She drew seven fouls driving to the lane and was 8-of-11 from the charity stripe.

In Sunday's overtime loss to Atlantic 10 preseason favorite VCU, Johnson chipped in 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor and was 3-for-3 from the free throw line. On the week, Johnson shot 44 percent from the floor and 78.6 percent from the free throw line.

Johnson is averaging a team-high 14.1 points per game this season to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest. She currently ranks 10th in scoring among all A-10 players.

Big 4 players consist of student-athletes from St. Bonaventure, Buffalo, Canisius and Niagara.
