Bonnies Wrap Up Regular Season, Host Duquesne On Saturday For Senior Day

The St. Bonaventure University women's basketball team wraps up the regular season Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Reilly Center against Duquesne. Saturday will also be Senior Day for the Bonnies as they honor Dajah Logan, Amanda Oliver and Claudia Del Moral. The senior ceremony will begin at 12:45 p.m. with tipoff following at 1:00 p.m.

The Bonnies fell to Dayton on the road Wednesday night, 78-51. The Bonnies were led by Deja Francis who tallied 16 points, four rebounds and five assists. Also scoring in double figures for the Brown and White was Jurnee President who added 12 points.

Prior to tipoff Saturday, the Bonnies will honor seniors Dajah Logan, Amanda Oliver and Claudia Del Moral.

Del Moral is a two-year member of the women's basketball program after transferring from junior college and has appeared in 38 career games and made three career starts.

Oliver is a two-year member of the women's basketball program, making 57 career appearances after starting her career in junior college with two seasons at Florida Southwestern. She has made 24 for starts for the Bonnies over the past two seasons. Oliver has 132 rebounds for the Bonnies this season.

Logan is a three-year member of the women's basketball team and has played for two seasons after transferring from the College of Charleston. She has played in 56 career games, making 37 starts. For her career, Logan averages 8.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

• Dan Burt is in his seventh season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and is in his 13th season on staff after spending six years as a top assistant. Burt touts a career head coaching record of 151-77 and is 75-36 all-time in the Atlantic 10. He is the only coach in program history to lead the Dukes to the NCAA Tournament.

• Fifth-place Duquesne is coming off a double-digit home victory on Tuesday against third-place Fordham, 74-63.

• The Dukes are the number one offense in the league, averaging 69.5 points per game and shooting 42.2 percent from the field. Duquesne also lead the league in 3-point percentage, shooting 35.3 percent.

• Junior guard Libby Bazalek is the conference's leading three-point shooter at 46.3 percent. She is also third in the conference playing 36 minutes per game and ninth in scoring, averaging 13.7 points per game.  Junior guard Amanda Kalin is sixth in the league with 28 blocked shots.

The Bonnies and the Dukes meet for the 61st time Saturday afternoon. Duquesne holds a 40-20 advantage over the Bonnies in the all-time series. Duquesne is the winner of the last six meetings between the two schools, with the Bonnies' last win coming Jan. 21, 2017 at the Reilly Center. The Bonnies last won in Pittsburgh during 2011-12 season, the same season the Bonnies advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Earlier this season, the Dukes defeated the Bonnies, 58-39.

The Bonnies hit the road for the first round of the 2020 Atlantic 10 Tournament Tuesday, March 3. Opponent and start time are yet to be determined. Saint Louis, Duquesne, UMass and Davidson are all possible opponents for the Bonnies as the regular season wraps up.
