Bonnies Women's Basketball Announces Addition of Tori Harris To Program

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Tori Harris, a 6-0 guard from Dix Hills, N.Y., has signed an athletics grant-in-aid and will transfer to St. Bonaventure University, Bonnies head coach Jesse Fleming announced.

Harris spent the last two seasons with James Madison and will sit next season due to NCAA transfer rules. She will have two seasons of eligibility remaining starting in 2020-21.

During her first two collegiate seasons, Harris appeared in 47 games at JMU as the Dukes went 49-17 and reached the WNIT semifinals this past year. As a sophomore, she played in 25 games with the Dukes.

Harris was a standout at Half Hollow Hill West High School and was named the 2017 Long Island Player of the Year, also earning All-State honors. She was a three-time All-League honoree, a two-time All-Section Eight Conference selection and was named to the All-Long Island First Team in 2017.

"Tori is a winner and she will make us better the second she steps on campus," Fleming said. "We expect her to be a huge part of our future. She knows how to score the basketball, has the ability to be a top-end defender and brings an elite work ethic to St. Bonaventure."

Harris comes from a family of athletes; her sister, Tesia, is currently an assistant coach at Winthrop and played collegiately at Delaware and St. John's. Older brother Tobias played at the University of Tennessee and was a first round pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers and has averaged over 15 points per game during his career. Brothers, Tyler and Terry, had highly successful careers and finished their college careers as Auburn and North Carolina A&T respectively.

She joins a crop of five newcomers to the program for the upcoming season. Four players committed to the Bonnies during the fall signing period - learn more about the rest of the newcomers here.
