DAVIDSON, N.C. – For the second time this week, the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team gained a double-digit first half advantage against a top-two team in the Atlantic 10 standings, but once again a late rally spoiled the Bonnies upset hopes in a 67-55 setback Saturday afternoon at Davidson.

Danielle Migliore led the Bonnies (7-16, 4-6 Atlantic 10) with 12 points while Mckenna Maycock finished with 11 points and Deja Francis posted nine.

St. Bonaventure led by 12 during the second quarter, but ultimately a 23-point fourth quarter from Davidson (14-9, 8-2) proved the difference.

It was a frigid start for both teams. The Bonnies went over five and half minutes before scoring their first points of the game, but still were down just 4-3 at the initial media timeout.

A quick 11-0 sprint got the Bonnies going, and the uprising continued into the second quarter as Migliore hit four 3-pointers and the visitors lead grew to 21-9. Davidson answered with an 11-3 break of its own, though, to close the Bona lead to 29-25 at intermission.

Davidson kept the run going after the break, starting the third on a 12-4 breakaway to re-take the lead.

Bona was able to put together a counterpunch, though, pushing back ahead before a three right before the third quarter buzzer put the Wildcats back on top, 44-43, heading for the final period.

Asianae Johnson drove to the basket for the first points of the fourth, but a 6-0 run from the hosts made it a 50-45 score.

SBU pulled back within 50-49 with over five minutes remaining, but the Wildcats would score 10 of the game's next 11 points as both Francis and Johnson fouled out.

From there, the Wildcats would remain in control.

Katie Turner proved to be a nemesis all day long for the Bonnies as she poured home 22 points and Justine Lyon finished with 13 points.

St. Bonaventure has another road contest coming up this week as it makes the trip to Richmond on Wednesday night with tip time scheduled for 7 p.m.
