PROMOTIONS: The Bonnies will give away free 2018-19 team posters to fans arriving at Friday's game featuring the members of this year's team.

IT'S GAMES TIME: St. Bonaventure is in the midst of its busiest week of the season, playing three times in the span of five days. The week started Wednesday morning when the Bonnies traveled to Akron for a 10:30 a.m. tip off time. Bona returns home to face Franciscan sister school Siena Friday night at home. Finally, the Bonnies quickly turnaround to travel to Penn State for a Sunday matinee in State College, Pa.

WELCOME BACK, MCKENNA: Senior Mckenna Maycock made her return to action Wednesday at Akron, appearing for the first time in nearly a month. Maycock suffered an injury in the season-opening game Nov. 6 at Niagara and missed the following six games. Despite being in her first game back from injury, she played 37 minutes Wednesday and finished with 14 points and five assists, leading the Bonnies in both categories.

JOHNSON A TOP FROSH: Freshman Asianae Johnson has made a splash thus far in her collegiate debut. Already an Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week selection (Nov. 19), she entered the week as the second-highest scoring freshman in the A-10 this season at 11.4 points per game. Only Saint Louis' Ciaja Harbison (12.3 ppg) ranks higher among A-10 freshmen entering the week. She was also a part of the Denver Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team for her efforts in Colorado two weeks ago.

BOARD WORK: Sophomore Emily Calabrese not only paces the Bonnies in rebounding this season, but she is among the leaders in the Atlantic 10. Entering this week, she stood tied for fifth (7.0 rpg) with Rhode Island's Davida Dale and Nicole Jorgensen. Wednesday at Akron, junior Amanda Oliver hauled in nine rebounds, her highest total in a Bonnies uniform.

LINEUP CHANGES: In each of the past four games, the Bonnies have employed a different starting lineup. In Denver, Bona's junior college transfers Claudia Del Moral and Amanda Oliver joined the starting lineup in back-to-back games. Last Thursday vs. Bucknell, it was redshirt junior Dajah Logan who picked up her first start in a Bonnies uniform. Wednesday at Akron, senior Mckenna Maycock rejoined the starting five.

BONA VS. SIENA - SERIES HISTORY
  • The Bonnies and Saints have met 21 previous times in the sport of women's basketball, but there have been long gaps in the series. The teams met in the 2015 preseason WNIT and, after skipping a season, played in Albany last year where Siena came away with a close victory. Prior to the 2015-16 season, though, the Bonnies and Saints had not met since 2006.
  • St. Bonaventure has won the last three games in the Reilly Center (2004, 2006, 2015). Siena has not won inside The RC since a double overtime win, 80-75, in 2002.
ABOUT SIENA
  • The Saints are 3-5 on the season and are looking to bounce back from a 70-66 loss at home to Florida Atlantic last Saturday in their last game action. The Saints have scored wins at Howard (86-81), at home vs. Colgate (55-53) and on a neutral floor over Wagner (74-71) in double overtime.
  • Two Saints average in double-figure scoring: Sabrina Piper leads the squad at 12.6 points per game whole Maddie Sims is right behind at 12.5 ppg. Sims leads the way on the boards with 7.6 rebounds per contest. Offense has been a bit of a struggle as the Saints average 59.4 points per game and average just 4.5 three-pointers per game.
  • Siena was selected to finish third in the MAAC Preseason Poll after returning four of five starters from last season's team that finished 17-14 overall and 11-7 in league.

UP NEXT: St. Bonaventure travels to Penn State to take on the Lady Lions in State College, Pa. on Sunday afternoon.
