NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – St. Bonaventure senior Mariah Ruff has earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor Roll after her performance this past weekend.
Ruff posted 30 points and nine assists on Sunday at VCU, making her the first Bonnies player to hand out at least nine assists in a 30-point scoring performance in over two decades.
The Oneonta, N.Y. native went 10-for-21 from the floor and 6-for-12 from beyond the arc, also picking up three steals in 43 minutes of work.
For the season, Ruff ranks seventh in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (16.5 ppg), second in assists (4.8 apg), tied third in 3s made (68) and also leads all Atlantic 10 players during conference play by averaging 20.5 points per game in 12 A-10 games. Sunday's performance was her third 30-point game of the year, most of any A-10 player.
St. Bonaventure returns to action by hosting its annual Pink Game Wednesday night vs. Richmond at the Reilly Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
