SATURDAYS ARE FOR THE BONNIES: The Bonnies have enjoyed Saturdays this season, going 4-0 in previous Saturday contests in 2017-18.

RUFF TAKES A-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS: St. Bonaventure senior Mariah Ruff was named Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week on Monday after averaging 27.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and shooting over 45 percent from the floor as well as nearly 52 percent from beyond the arc in a pair of games last week. Last Wednesday vs. Saint Joseph's, she netted a career high 31 points, connecting on 11 field goals and eight 3-pointers. Her 31 points were the most by any Bonnies player in nearly six years while the eight treys tied for second-most in single game SBU history. She followed that up by keying a win over UMass on Saturday, draining a game-high 24 points while adding six rebounds and four assists. For the week, she shot 14-for-27 from distance. One of five players in program history with over 1,000 points and 300 assists for her career, Ruff moved into fifth place in Bonnies assists during Saturday's win with 356 and also jumped to 13th on the program scoring charts with 1,167 points. This season, she averages 14.5 points and 5.0 assists, both team highs. She scored 24 points at Dayton Wednesday, her 11th career 20-point game and 60th career game in double figures.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES: Sophomore Danielle Migliore has become a leader for the Bonnies in her second season with the program. After receiving limited playing time during her freshman season, Migliore has started all 16 games thus far this season.
  • Migliore has scored in double figures in six of the past seven games including 20+ points in two. For the season, she has reached double-figure scoring 11 times after not achieving that feat once as last year.
  • Migliore has been perhaps the most improved player in the Atlantic 10 this season. No Atlantic 10 player has improved their scoring year-to-year more than Migliore who has upped her scoring average by 9.7 points per game thus far over her freshman season.
  • A look at Migliore's season-to-season comparison: As a freshman, the Frankfort, N.Y. native averaged 1.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 8.1 minutes per game. She did not play due to coach's decision in nine games. This season, Migliore is posting 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds in 32.4 minutes per contest.
THREE-POINT THREATS: Sophomore Danielle Migliore and senior Mariah Ruff are one of the most prolific three-point shooting duos in the Atlantic 10 this season. Ruff ranks in a four-way tie for first in the league with 47 3s this season, just ahead of Migliore's 40. With 87 combined treys this year, only one A-10 duo - Duquesne's Julijana Vojinovic and Chassidy Omogrosso (92) - has combined for more 3-pointers this year.

ADDING TO HER RESUME: Senior Mariah Ruff drained a career-high eight 3-pointers in the Jan. 3 game vs. Saint Joseph's last Wednesday and delivered four more treys Wednesday at Dayton, the 13th game of her career with four or more 3s.

ARC ACES: St. Bonaventure has been outstanding both offensively and defensively beyond the perimeter this season. With Dayton hitting 10 3s in an uncharacteristic defense of the perimeter by the Bonnies defense Wednesday, SBU now stands second in the A-10 in 3-point percentage defense at 27.3 percent, just behind George Mason (27.0 percent). The Bonnies continue to rank second in the league with 8.1 3s per game offensively, just behind Duquesne's 8.4.

JT THE STARTER: Sophomore Jalisha Terry has started the last five games after coming off the bench in each of the first 12 contests of the season. The Flint, Mich. native started 25 of 29 games as the team's point guard a season ago. In the UMass victory on Jan. 6, Terry handed out a career-best eight assists - her previous best was six coming last season.

BONA VS. LA SALLE - SERIES HISTORY
  • Saturday will mark the 30th meeting between the Bonnies and Explorers all-time.
  • The Bonnies will look to avenge a pair of losses at the hands of La Salle last season, including when the Explorers ended Bona's season with a heartbreaker in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Prior to that, though, the Bonnies had won eight straight between 2008-2014 before La Salle grabbed two of the next three. Bona snapped that streak with a 2016 victory in Philadelphia, 70-63, in the last regular season meeting at Tom Gola Arena.
  • St. Bonaventure came up just short, 73-70, in the last meeting between these two teams on Feb. 25, 2017 in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament in Philadelphia. Bona nearly erased an 11-point deficit late, pulling within 68-66 with a chance to tie in the final minute before two layup attempts failed to fall. Mariah Ruff led all scorers with 22 points while the Bonnies held then-A-10 leading scorer Amy Griffin to just six points.
ABOUT LA SALLE
  • La Salle comes into Saturday with a record of 5-11 and 0-3 in the Atlantic 10. The Explorers fell at non-conference opponent Harvard on Wednesday. La Salle has fallen to Dayton, George Mason and Richmond to open up their A-10 schedule.
  • Head coach Jeff Williams enters his eighth season as head coach of the Explorers and is the reigning Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year. He has a head coaching record of 89-138 and the team's 17-win in 2016-17 was the highest win total since the 2006-07 season.
  • Senior guard Amy Griffin averages 15.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists on the season. She leads the Explorers in all three categories. Griffin is one of 14 players in Division I to register a triple-double this season. Junior guard Adreana Miller is second on the team in scoring, contributing 12.9 points per game.
