It marks the second year in a row that the Bonnies have been in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 – St. Bonaventure stood 23rd in 2014-15. The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III; NAIA and junior/community college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season.

Each member of the Bonnies owned a GPA of 3.0 or higher last year while eight members of the 2015-16 squad were honored on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.5 or better.

"Congratulations to each of the teams recognized in the 2015-16 WBCA Academic Top 25," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "Their head coaches are to be commended for fostering an environment of excellence for their student-athletes both on the court and, more importantly, in the classroom."

St. Bonaventure owned the Atlantic 10's top team GPA last year and is one of two A-10 squads to be recognized in the WBCA Academic Top 25 along with Saint Louis which was 15th. St. Francis College of Brooklyn was first with a 3.712 GPA.

This season marks the fifth in the last nine years that the Bonnies have earned a spot in the WBCA Academic Top 25.
