ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Already honored as a First Team All-Atlantic 10 selection last week, St. Bonaventure senior Katie Healy has now been recognized on a national level by earning a spot on the College Sports Madness All-High Major Teams.
College Sports Madness is part of the USA Today Sports Media Group.
Healy, a native of Lancaster, N.Y., was selected to the online publication's All-High Major Fourth Team, officials announced on Thursday. She is one of four Atlantic 10 players selected to the 15-player list along with Jackie Kemph of Saint Louis, April Robinson of Duquesne and Caira Washington of George Washington.
She leads the Bonnies in both scoring and rebounding this season, averaging 15.3 points per game along with 7.0 rebounds. Healy finished the regular season as the only player in the Atlantic 10 to rank among the conference's top 15 in scoring, rebounding, blocks, field goal percentage and assists per game.
The Atlantic 10's active scoring leader, she is one of two players in program history with 1,600 points and 800 career rebounds. She stands as the program's all-time leader in blocks and is also third in rebounds and fourth in scoring.
St. Bonaventure (23-7, 12-4 Atlantic 10) awaits its postseason fate to be announced Monday. The Bonnies have made a solid postseason case, ranking as one of 11 teams nationwide to have a winning record with multiple victories vs. the RPI Top 25 while also ranking inside the RPI Top 50 themselves. St. Bonaventure's RPI ranked at No. 35 as of Friday including wins over Duquesne (RPI 18) and George Washington (RPI 21) as well as James Madison (RPI 34) and Saint Louis (RPI 54).
