Watch The Women’s Championship Game Tonight At The ‘Skeller

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Athletic Department and University officials will be hosting a viewing party tonight at the Rathskeller for the Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship game between top-seeded St. Bonaventure and third-seeded Dayton. The event is only open to St. Bonaventure students, faculty and staff.

The game begins at 5 p.m. on ESPN2, and the 'Skeller will provide free wings and the bar will be open. Bonaventure is playing in the title game for the first time in program history, and the school will be looking for its first A-10 Championship in any sport since 2006 when the men's swimming and diving team brought home the title.

Prior to this year the Bonnies had never advanced past the quarterfinals of the A-10 Championship. Dayton will be looking to claim their first A-10 crown, but with a win over the Flyers, Bonaventure will wrap up an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

In ESPN's latest Bracketology released on Monday morning, the A-10 is predicted to have three teams – St. Bonaventure, Temple and Dayton – in the NCAA Tournament. However, Dayton was predicted 64th and final team to make the NCAA field.

During the regular-season meeting, senior Megan Van Tatenhove hit the game-winning shot with 23 seconds to play as the Bonnies erased a 15-point road deficit to claim a 56-55 win over Dayton.
